Stretching challenge


During our daily life we don't usually pay much attention to our flexibility, but stretching is very important for our muscles, and it can be really helpful for our workouts too: the bendier we are, the better we can do our workouts, with less risk of injury.

In fact, when we don't include stretching in our activity routine, our muscles shorten and become tight, weak and unable to extend all the way. As a consequence, the chances of getting injured become higher.

Even just 10 minutes a day on flexibility practice can make a big difference to start feeling much looser and more open!


How to get started


If you want to start including stretching as part of your daily life and fitness routine, you may want to start finding a video to follow along on Youtube, to try different kinds of exercises and see which work better for you.

In fact before creating your personal stretching routine, we suggest you to start with some of the many '10 minutes Full Body Stretching' videos you can find on Youtube.

Once you will get familiar with the exercises, you will choose which ones to add to your personal routine to practice daily!


Stretching tips:


Each exercise should be done slowly and you should never stretch to the point of pain.

Proper breathing have a huge impact on the efficacy of your flexibility routine. When holding a stretch, try to breathe naturally taking deep regular breaths.

On each exhale, move into your stretch, increasing the intensity of the stretch without forcing your muscles, and hold the stretch every time you inhale.

In fact when you inhale your muscles naturally contract while they relax anytime you exhale. This makes it easier increasing your stretch, with less risk of injury!
